Elizabeth is based in Washington, DCand focuses on content, instruction, and program marketing. With over six years of classroom teaching experience in the language education field, she also holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Spanish from American University, a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Christian Brothers University, and dual DC teaching licensures in elementary education and K-12 Spanish instruction. She is thrilled to help build a program that combines her passion for social entrepreneurship with her love of teaching and learning languages!   

Philip Black

Co-Founder, Operations

Phil is based in San Francisco, Californiaand focuses on operations and accounting. His background includes a bachelor's degree in accounting from Bryant University and over ten years of experience working in accounting, management consulting, and financial analysis for a Fortune 100 company. Passionate about entrepreneurship and helping kids, he is excited to support increasing access to high quality world language instruction for all students.

Jazmín Silva

Lead Curriculum Developer

Jazmín is based in France and is originally from Venezuela. She is the lead curriculum developer for Bee Bilingual and is fluent in Spanish, English, and French. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from Universidad de Los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela, and is currently pursuing graduate studies at University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès in southern France. Jazmín has over five years of language teaching experience. She believes people learn best when they are having fun so she incorporates games and interactive activities into all her work.


Candy Santosa

Digital Illustrator

Candy is based in Bandung, Indonesia, and is the woman who brings the Bee Bilingual curriculum to life through her colorful digital illustration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in visual art, specializing in graphic design, from Institut Teknologi Harapan Bangsa in Indonesia. She has experience working as an in-house educational software designer and an art teacher.
